Rising Star Jr. High and High School participates in the Accelerated Reading program through Renaissance Place. The students, teachers, and librarians set reading goals and giving the students a goal to reach. Students are recognized in the awards ceremony every six weeks for exceptional progress toward their AR goals and those students reaching their yearly goal participate in a field trip at the end of the school year.

The library contains over 4000 titles including reference, fiction, nonfiction, biographies, and easy fiction. The library is also equipped with a Tandberg distance learning lab that is available for virtual field trips, community, faculty, and school board training.
