The state law requires that Rising Star ISD offer a Sexual Education Course to its students.  After careful consideration, Rising Star ISD has chosen the Life Enrichment Center Sex Education Program T.A.S.K (Teens Are Saying kNOw). The TASK Program is a four-hour presentation delivered by a dynamic speaker who shares the freedoms of abstinence.  This program is designed to build a foundation for the importance of sexual abstinence until marriage.  After the foundation is laid, students are equipped with the tools necessary for practical application of thee principles to their lives.  This is an optional program for our students.  A permission slip must be signed by parent or legal guardian before a student is allowed to attend.
